Quiet nights

Have you noticed that from the streets of Orchard road to the dim lit ends of Cityhall has been really quiet in weekends lately? What happened to the noisy sea blue cabs that organize themselves in a line? The driver would patiently wait or roam in nearby avenues scouting for stranded potential passengers that might think public transport is a pain after midnight. What happened to the curious tourists and romantic couples exploring the city and absorbing each other’s faces into the cold city breeze? What happened to exciting illegal races by flashy Japanese cars and their professional wannabe drivers, roaring their engines and diverting all the attention to them?

Where did that entire crowd go by 1am?

Even if it’s good for the skating as chances of complaints being flown through the police airwaves are minimal, these simple things mentioned on the lines above are the ones that we all enjoy observing, commenting , stare blankly and giving a standing ovation for each fine lady that walk pass us in between a long hard night of skating.

Please come back to us.
